Max is thrilled to be performing in his third Lakespeare production, having portrayed Chorus in last years’ Henry V and winning a Canberra Critics Circle award for his trio of roles in 2023’s As You Like It. Max feels blessed to have presented dozens of roles on Canberra’s stages over the last 20 years, with favourites including Shrek (Shrek), Cladwell (Urinetown), Dewey Finn (School of Rock), The Artilleryman (War of the Worlds), Judge Turpin (Sweeney Todd), Pilate (Jesus Christ Superstar), Henry (Cosi), Dave Bukatinski (The Full Monty) and Trekkie Monster (Avenue Q). He is looking forward to being able to perform more regularly following a 5-year sabbatical to complete a Bachelor of Science which has kept him otherwise occupied. By day he can be found developing and performing science shows and demonstrations for Questacon’s Excited Particles theatre troupe where he passionately uses theatricality to spark curiosity in the many-wondered workings of the world to visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
